The province of Extremadura is one of Spains most unspoilt and undiscovered secrets. Predominantly an agricultural region with its spectacular plains which grow a wealth of crops from rice, cereals and vegetables through to a huge variety of fruits, the wonderful hot summers along with the plentiful supply of water lend themselves to this unique region. | |
 | A sparsely populated region with many charming traditional Spanish towns, it is as far away from “tourist” Spain as you can get. Bordered on three sides by lush wooded areas, there are spectacular National Parks dotted throughout the region which are renowned for their huge and varied bird populations.
| The Guadiana water system dominates the region with the river running for approximately 500 miles running from East to West. With damming to enable Hydroelectric power, a myriad of unspoilt lakes and reservoirs were formed. | |
 | The largest of these is the Orellana which is full of a huge range and variety of completely wild fish including Carp, Tench, Pike and Bass, all adding up to the perfect angling destination. |
